I just got back from a week in the land of palm trees and sunshine. I spent my days enjoying family, food, sand, tennis and complete relaxation. It was wonderful, especially since we missed the snow storm of the century that paralyzed the northeast.
I will admit it….
I didn’t open an email.
I didn’t surf the net.
I didn’t read facebook.
I didn’t twitter.
I felt like a new person.
All of a sudden there is all of this time to just be!
I am not a huge believer in resolutions, I think they involve hypercriticism, guilt, and regrets.
However, I will say this….
In 2011 , I vow to turn off the computer every day.
I will write with a broad tipped fountain pen on crisp white paper, read from a printed page and drink in what’s around me, not just what is on the digital screen.
